If this occurs which is lack of blood or oxygen to the finger tips is to provide some heat to it as well as massaging the tips. It's the same when you foot falls asleep until you shake it and than it comes back. You can place your arm over your head to allow the fingers to be place upward as we walk with our hands downward which causes the blood to go down so this will allow the circulation to be distribute in the right areas of your finger tips. Also, you may want to go a small squeeze ball and frequently massage the ball to allow circulation in your hand as well as your finger tips. Make sure it's not causing you discomfort and if is I would suggest getting blood test or other test to make sure there's no other underlying health problems. What causes the skin under the finger nails to turn purple?
I have the same problem, in fact my hands and feet often turn purple, not just my nail beds. My doctor said it's because I have a circulation problem.
It's poor circulation. Some people have it naturally, but if it's a new development or if you notice numbness or tingling in your extremities you may want to contact your Dr... actually, contact your Doc anyways, it could be related to a nutritional imbalance, low blood pressure, etc.
