Are fake/ acrylic finger nails tacky, low class and 1997 OR are the passable for being a beauty asset?

I have no time to keep my nails up, and without polish I bite and pick. Thinking about getting short acrylics, but feel a little tacky. What do you think? Are fake/ acrylic finger nails tacky, low class and 1997 OR are the passable for being a beauty asset?
If you want acrylics, go for it! They're a great way to stop biting your nails, you want to keep them super-duper short at first. Depending on the severity of your nail biting you may even want to have them done shorter than your fingertip. They can definitely be a beauty asset!

Be safe when you get acrylics, though. Go to a reputable salon, and ask questions. How do they sanitize the instruments? Do they reuse files? What brand do they use? Some places have unsafe practices so keep your health #1 priority! :)Are fake/ acrylic finger nails tacky, low class and 1997 OR are the passable for being a beauty asset?
i had my nails done about 3 weeks ago and they were acrylic but when i took them of yesterday my nails were weak and thin and hurt and they are to gentle also if you get your nails done to many times or have them on a long time such as a month or two you can get fungus and fungus is really hard to get of and go to walgreens and there is this nail polish that when you put it on you cant bite your nails because its going to taste like pepper and it will keep you from biting your nails and try to paint your nails more they will get stronger and they will look better natural
acrylics are very tacky and so 2000 and late. natural are so 3008. ha i luv that song!

but anyways ya! i bite my nails to but im not ashamed its part of who i am. so go show the world ur torn up nails with a smile.

They don't look tacky they look cute. If you have no time than go for it. It's better to have them than plain, bitten down nails. I personally like to paint my natural nails.
