You are lacking the vitamin........ZINC.





It causes the nails to have those little white lines. My anatomy %26amp; physiology teacher told us about it 2 semesters ago :). I also have a low amount of zinc and i get those white lines too!What do the horizontal white lines in your finger nails represent?

Well vertical lines indicate vitamin deficiencies and just being unhealthy in general. Horizontal lines indicate being poisoned, go to ER now if this is the case.

Don't run to the Er yet.. just supplement the vitamins in your diet with food and or a vitamin -





Vitamin A and B deficiency causes fragile nails, with horizontal and vertical ridges.











Lack of protein, folic acid, and vitamin C causes hangnails. White bands are also an indication of protein deficiency.
